DISCUSSION: An Open Letter to Educators

Since petitebelette shared this video with me I've not stopped thinking about it. It's a really interesting look at how the value of information has decreased over the years and whether or not the present education system is really in line with that change. I'm hoping to go into higher education sooner or later and I'd be really interested to see what everyone else thinks of this video.

What does it really mean to receive an education nowadays?
Are current education systems really up to date or stimulating for students?
What changes, if any, do you think need to be made in the way our generation is taught?
