5 Things I am Thankful For (Third Anniversary Edition)

Nov 05, 2007 08:58

1. That C had the perserverance to keep pursuing me for like four or five months during my senior year at FU. He truly initiated this relationship and is therefore responsible for much of my current happiness.

(I guess at this point I should thank Fordham for bringing us together. But they still don't get on the list.)

2. Our beautiful wedding--C wanted us to elope and not wait like 2 years while I plan THE WEDDING OF THE CENTURY (put in the booming voice behind those last words), but I liked it. It was a fun party.

3. Our pets who are crazy (but we love them). I know they are just pets but they enrich our lives and make us laugh. They are just like family: Misha, the first-born spoiled one. Sonja, the happy accident middle child with severe middle-child syndrome, and Thatcher the baby who gets away with murder.

4. Both sets of parents for showing us good strong marriages and endowing us with their values (C's parents met and three months later were married, mine were high school sweethearts who dated for years before tieing the knot).

5. C.K.--the love of my life. What he wrote in my birthday card says it all--"I just couldn't handle all this life stuff without you." (I know it's not the most poetic way to put it but it still just...says it all.)

**This isn't on the list but I am thankful that my anniversary is Guy Fawkes Day for no other reason than it's easy to remember (and not a big holiday like the Fourth of July or Martin Luther King Day).

third anniversary, misha, c.k., thatcher, sonja, five things
