01-20; Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire icons made for 20inspirations .
01: Word/ Askew - I thought this was a really interesting prompt and rather than associate it with colouring, I chose cropping instead. I find trying to get an interesting crop really challenging, so this round was a little harder for me. I chose this cap with Ron facing away and obscuring his face as it just seemed to 'fit' with the prompt.
02: Word/ Black and White.
03: Video/ Budweiser Commercial - This video focused a lot on detail (the water dripping, bubbles) and I found this screencap with the smoke and I really liked it. While colouring the icon, I really tried to keep the smoke (which was the inspiration for the icon) as sharp and neat as possible so that it didn't become blurred and obscured by the colouring.
04: Word/ Close - I love close crops and I especially loved the screencap for this icon, so I wanted to use it. It was very grainy so I decided to make it black and white and then tried to smooth it out using blobs and colouring without destroying the icon.
05: Word/ Composed - Like a lot of people did for this prompt, I duplicated layers and played with layer styles to make the icon look 'made' rather than natural.
06: Song/ Delicate - I chose this song because it's one of my favourites (and I wanted everyone else to listen to it lol) so I just played it on repeat while making a few icons to get in the ~headspace. This song is quite emotional, so I tried to focus on that.
07: Word/ Focus - The glasses, the sharpness of the icon, the 'main' character ~ it all just fit the prompt.
08-11: Photos - These icons were made with the glow of the photos in mind as can be seen in the first prompt and also the blocks of colour (purple and blue in the first image, brown in the second) inspired me to focus on the main coloiur in the screencap.
12: Word/ Shadows.
13: Word/ Split - I truly am not good at blending and don't try it often, but I did like how this icon turned out :)
14-20: Textures - I love playing around with different textures on different blending modes for ages, so this prompt usually works for quite a few of my icons.
