I kept telling myself I'd post. I kept reminding myself I should. And lo and behold, like MONTHS later, I got to it. Heh. Wow. I'll try to approach this logically seeing as it's been forever since I've put anything on here.
School
Student teaching went great. Yeah, it was stressful, yeah it was tiring, but I loved it. I miss my kids, who have now graduated and moved to the high school. Hopefully. I have also graduated, Magna Cum Laude, and all that jazz. I honestly still don't really think it's sunk in that I've finished college.
Work
I'm currently working 3 jobs. Well, technically two, I guess, but.. I'm at the Rockford Office Depot, the Machesney Park Office Depot, and the Rockford College library. I'm slowly trying to decide when to quit the Depots and still just work the library. I forgot how much I hate the Depot, let alone a double dose of it. That, and the library job is just too sweet. I get to sit around, play on the computer, and occasionally do something that very vaguely resembles work. Yes, my friends, I get paid $7.25 by the government (federal work-study)to dink around on the internet. And I think the greatest news under the work catagory is that I have, in fact, been hired and given a *real* job. I was hired by Harlem High School. I actually just got finger printed and given the low down on the massive list of stuff I have to fill out for them after the school board approves my hiring (apparently it's a technicality.) I do, however, have to go in for a physical and a tb test. I swear, with as many tb tests as I've had in the last few years, I'm surprised I haven't contracted it from the tester thingy (Okay, probably not possible, but c'mon, whatever.) So yay for gainful emplyoment. After taxes and all the retirement stuff is taken out, I'll be making a decent bit, too.
Other Stuff
The relationship with mom is getting better. I think that's just because I've unoffically moved out and in with Dean. That is going great, by the way. I really enjoy waking up and going to sleep with him. We're struggling to figure out how to keep the house clean, but we're starting to manage. Other than that, and wanting to kick people in the face at Depot... Life is good!
