ALL about movies

The best of 2007 (although not all of these are gold, 2006 was mostly better for movies i think)
JUNO- hands down best, funniest movie i've seen in a long time, easily makes top of the 2007 list
Hot Fuzz-its not everyday you get to see a man dropkick an old woman in the face, instant classic
Deathproof-Zoe Bell is my new hero and kurt russell is just so fun to hate
1408-i do love me a good haunted house story
Martian Child-more john cusack, this one a very cute, silly movie that i heard did badly, but i liked it a lot, good music too
Golden Compass and Stardust-two youth lit novels i love, with somewhat disappointing movie versions, but not too terribly bad...
Halloween-rob zombie version, surprisingly awesome
National Treasure 2-not nearly as bad as the reviews make it out to be, i quite liked it
Transformers-after this and constantine i am becoming reluctantly a fan of shia labeouf, what this movie lacked in plot it made up for in humor and action
Daywatch-definitely didn't live up to the standards of Nightwatch, but it tried and i'm curious where they are going with the third movie
Knocked Up-god help me i liked this movie, ONE romantic comedy out of an entire year, please dont tell me i'm getting soft in my old age! haha
The Messengers-i should probably watch this one more time before putting it on the list, but i watched it once and surprisingly liked it, fairly creepy and not nearly as embarressingly bad as most other horror movies that get released

Missed in 2007:
Sleuth-remake of a laurence olivier and caine movie with caine playing olivier's character and law playing caine's character... got all those names straight? the original was good but i missed this version coming out
King of California- michael douglas is insane and looking for treasure under a Costco, hilarity ensues
House- based on a cool horror novel i read, knew the movie was being made but must've missed the release
Across the Universe-very talked about movie featuring beatles tunes...a little TOO talked about...
Everything's Gone Green- weird canadian indie movie about money
Delirious-cuz every decent list should include a Steve Buscemi film
Persepolis-based on a graphic novel about an iranian girl who is...weird. please please watch the trailer, it is awesomely funny

To see in 2008:
The Orphanage-del toro creepiness
Hellboy 2-del toro brings back the awesome sarcasm of hellboy
Be Kind Rewind-jack black and mos def, comedy genius
Prince Caspian-narnia prettiness take two
The Dark Knight-its only right they actually make a sequel of the best batman movie
Coraline-creepy gaiman children's book
Valkyrie-despite cruise, this movie looks good, like a modern julius caesar, you know, if caesar was hitler

And if I see one more preview for The Spiderwick Chronicles, i'm going to officially and actively boycott that movie!
