Woah
What is a blessing when it comes as a result of faithfulness can be deadly when provoked by disobedience.
this study note i found in my Bible in reference to Leviticus 10:2 blew my mind. Aaron's sons disobey the LORD and He devours them with fire. so first God's fire is a total blessing, but soon after, b/c of the sons' disobedience, it becomes deadly. i am currently desiring something that I know could be so good...however, only within the LORD's time contraints. the thing i want would definitely be a blessing, but not if i decided to take the gift sooner than the LORD decided to bestow it upon me. there is still so much more to learn and selfishness could get in the way of receiving that blessing. or maybe the thing i desire really wouldn't be the blessing i think it will be, and God is saving me for the real blessing. whatever the case, a good thing at the wrong time is the wrong thing no matter how you look at it. LORD, help me to continue to be patient about this situation.
