3. Prompt: Snape has a beau
A/N: MPREG (non-explicit). Snape had a baby during the war when Lupin turned to Tonks because he thought Snape had betrayed them (yadiyah). Lupin finds out.
Words: 1092

Of What Has Past
“Is it true Ginny, that you knew?”

The young, strong-headed female Weasley looked straight into her old professors’ eyes. “It was a war. Don’t blame your ignorance on me.”

Remus gritted his teeth impatiently, “So you are telling me, that for five years - that during the war, I’ve had a son with Sev- and... no one said anything! How dare he? How dare you?”

“As far as I, and everyone else in the Order, knew Remus,” Ginny hissed, “You weren’t exactly in position to know such information. Or have such a right for that matter. Severus wanted to-”

“To hell with what Severus wants. I want to see my son.” His tone broke no argument.

“I don’t think that’s wise.”

“Quite frankly, Ginerva, I don’t think you are in a position to decide that.”

“No, but Severus is,” she replied cooly.

“Ginerva,” Remus began tiredly, “He kept me from my son.”

“Only because you were on the way to having one of your own. Or have you forgotten Tonks? Or Teddy, for that matter?”

Remus remained silent.

“Don’t blame his reactions to your own lack of faith and trust in him. He had to do what was best for him. And his son.”

“If he just told me-”

“Would you have cursed him three ways from Sunday and back? Why would you think he’d risk that. Given your previous history, I can’t blame him.”

Remus head snapped up from where his head was cradling in the palms of his hands, “Ginerva. That’s enough. I’m aware about your newfound friendship with Severus, but our history is still none of your fucking business.”

Kingsley cleared his throat as he entered the room. Eying Remus wryly, he turned to Ginny and gave a nod of his head.

“You can’t be serious,” she started to say before she was cut off by Kingsley’s deep voice.

“It’s his decision Ginny.”

With an angry huff, she stood up and walked to the door. Crossing her arms, she looked at Lupin, “Well sir? Do I have to carry you?”

Clenching his fists, Remus stood up to follow her. Before he passed the door, Kingsley pressed closer to him and, in a deceptively soft voice whispered, “Watch yourself Remus. If you hurt him, you will have no friends left in this house.”

---

When Remus entered the room, it was surprisingly light. There, sitting on the couch with a little boy of four perched on his lap was Severus. Some of his anger drained from him easily when an old familiar feeling of longing and lost-affection replaced them.

“Papa!” the boy shouted, and Remus couldn’t hide his disappointment when the boy ran past by him to Kingsley.

His anger completely melted away when he finally sat in front of his once-love (still-love) and stared back at those cold, black eyes that once looked at him with someone other than contempt, disappointment, and disgust. And only then did Remus realize just how much his cowardice had cost him.

2. Prompt: This hurts me more that you
A/N: A little twist to the usual cliche of Snape & Lupin get imprisoned by the Voldemort on the night of the full moon.
Words: 100

You Only Need to Ask
Is there pain, I wonder. If I press it - ah, that’s close - too close on the edge of your skin, does it
hurt? It hurts me. It hurts when I feel your breath desperately ground against my skin as you attempt to drag more air into your lungs. You sound disgusting. It hurts when you scratch my skin with your nails, when you push yourself against me.

“Severus,” I remember, you mouthed this on my skin, “Don’t die Severus.”

Never say I don’t keep my promises. I only do what I do because you commanded this of me.

1. Prompt: Candles
Words: 415

It Was the Candles
Severus stayed in a corner, scowling at all the firefighters that passed by. Two of which had the nerve to bloody wink at him. He tightened his robe, least any of his special... underthings be revealed to eyes that most certainly do not belong to Remus.

Who was not here at the moment.

I am going to kill him.

“Severus! ? Excuse me, I most certainly can enter, where is-“ Remus stopped dealing with a fireman long enough to spot his very angry husband glaring his very angry glare at him.

“Severus! Are you okay? What...” he trailed off. The man in black robes - are those silk? - slapped off a hand that attempted to touch his own.

Before Severus snap at his husband, a burly man in a fireman uniform walked up to them, “Are you, er, Mr. Lupin?”

Ignoring any protests, Lupin held Severus’ hand between both his own and replied, “Yes.”

“We ah, er, were informed by-“

“It was me you moron, “ Severus snapped, and turning to Remus is spat, “It was the candles. I tried to light up candles for our bloody anniversary dinner that you bloody forgot.”

“Severus, I didn`t forget I swear, I got held up and -“

A left eye twitched “You said - you said this was a holiday! No work you said, this was for us...”
Severus looked at his husband with a hidden sadness, and Remus almost regretted going out.
Almost.

“I wasn`t at work! Severus, love-”

“The couch tonight? Don’t you think, Lupin?” he snarled as he walked out of the front yard. “I`m going home!”

Speed-walking - running really - to catch up to Severus` long strides, Remus turned his husband to face him.

“You stubborn bastard. Listen to me,”

Severus frowned.

“I did not forget. I wouldn’t forget. How could I?”

Severus` features softened. Slightly.

Remus licked his lips, “I was late, the lady was - nevermind. Well, since actions speak louder than words,” Remus took out a small box. In it, lay two golden rings.

“Remus... I don’t understand-”

“Well, since it is out 25th, I thought maybe we should do it again.”

“What?”

“Our vows. Severus Snape, will you marry me? Again?”

“Well it`s only fair that you ask this time.”

“And yet I was on my knees both times.”

“Euh.”

“Is that a yes?”

Severus tilted his head up to press his lips to his husbands forehead, “Yes.”

“Now,” said Remus greedily, “What about my anniversary present I see peeking through your robes...”
