I hope Sam is super confused and upset and maybe even angry! Not understanding why Dean is being so cruel to their friend. I hope he presses Dean about it and makes Dean more guilty by highlighting how unfair it is to be sending Cas away!
Oh the angst! :p
And yes, there was actually a fair bit of misplaced comedy this episode. Since I managed to get back on tumblr the biggest discussion is over the dub-con aspects of Cas having sex with 'April' and how the fact she manipulated him using sex is downplayed at the end as just 'yay Cas got laid!' When, really, what happened was rather more serious and potentially disturbing than that. So, yup... good points there that I didn't see. Largely because I was just happy to see Cas embracing a positive experience and wanted it to truly BE positive for him. But it is potentially somewhat irresponsible of the show to present a dub-con situation like that (not to mention the non-con aspect of April's possession, which means that, presumably, the real April full on WAS raped) as comedy/positive.

There were so many mixed signals and WTFery in this episode, I feel like I have whiplash.
