little miracles..
Went into the hospital yesterday afternoon to see Sharon’s little angels.. Sophie and Tahlia. I thought I had prepared myself for how small they were going to be, but I was so shocked... they are absolutely tiny! So much smaller than Jack was, it is hard to believe a baby can be so small and out of their mummy's tummy!
This is baby Tahlia, she's the smallest weighing 500 grams and she's only 18cm long
Here's little Sophie who is around 800grams and 33cm long. The hands belong to the nurse who is looking after them both.
Tahlia is breathing on her own which is a very positive sign. The doctors said they now have a 50-60% chance of surviving and says that they are definitely little fighters.
Matthew (Sophie and Tahlia's Dad) was telling me that Hayden (the little one that didn't make it) lived for only 10 minutes, but Sharon nursed him the whole time because the doctors knew that he wouldn't survive. The doctors told Matthew that Hayden saved Tahlia and Sophia. He was their little angel.
