ARG! (an e-mail i sent to doug earlier today)

So, after pooka gets a time out for kicking me, and
then gets sassy sauce (while in timeout) for fussing
at her sister and not doing as she's told... all the
while screaming that she wants love from me... the bell dings and i scoop her up into my lap.

Me : "I don't understand why you're being so mean,
can you talk to me, tell me what's going on?"

Pooka : "I don't care what you tell me. I'm not going to do as you tell me."

"I don't understand what you mean, can you explain it?"

"I mean that no matter what you say, I'm not going to
listen to you and do what you tell me because I don't
want a Mama, I don't want a daddy either. I don't want
anyone, I just want to be alone. I want to do my
secret ninja stuff alone."

So i picked her up and put her over the gate to her
room, and said "If you want to be alone, there's your
room, you can go be alone, and when you want to be
with your family, you can join us."
She is now screaming at the top of her lungs in her
room "crying" and saying "I want my momma, I want my mommy."

And I'm not doing anything. I'm not going to talk to her until she behaves...
