Over the past month, a steady stream of crime has flowed through the city. Generally, they are simply disappearances; kidnappings or murders. The victims are rarely seen again without strange mutilations. There are rarely recollections of the time spent missing, by those who still walk amongst the citizens of life. Suspicions fell easily upon the vampires. The police fell into the role of bully with the same ease. To maintain their diligent appearances in the wake of unexplainable horror, they simply began arresting the closet vampire try could find to each crime scene. Only the most secretive and secluded remain in the city. The mysterious crimes continue unabated, but the unrest has subsided in the wake of the police and their actions.
Cue another murder, the corpse missing a left hand, the right thumb, eight toes and the right eye and lying, rather nonchalant for a body, in a street in a northwestern slum at aprox. 10:30 one Tuesday evening.
