Intolerance
This horrible branding of attitudes thing has happened where
since everyone knows how awful it can be when people are intolerant of things that are good or just fine
eventually everyone came to fear intolerance altogether, in every circumstance
ESPECIALLY intolerance of the views that directly underpin the type of intolerances
that give intolerance itself a bad name.
So now people with the best of intentions
go to bat to preserve a status quo of abusers and oppressors
against anyone who might be fed up with that shit
because standing up against bad things has been recast as abuse and oppression itself.
It is fucking very disappointing alright.
(I wrote this last night but my computer shut off as I was about to post so I wrote that other little post on my phone instead. Turns out this was preserved, so... here. Same point, basically.)
