alright..so i have time so i'll try and be thorough on how intense it has been here. first off...there are sick amounts of people here and everyone rides a motorbike, so guess how i've been getting around...MOTORBIKE! i know c-r-a-z-y! so hanoi was like the best time ever, mostly cuz we were doing something everyday, it's best that way. now i'm in saigon, or ho chi minh...whatever you want to call it. everyone so chill here cuz it's too hot to really have to worry about anything, it's like 90 everyday and soo humid like stl humid in july/august :(. not to mention i'm the only one gettin bittin by mosquitos cuz i'm the fat one...and get this they have like two hour lunches here and everyone expects you to take a nap after lunch...wtf! it's so weird to sleep in the middle of the day...and then we wake up and eat dinner. we eat like 4 times a day if not more and the food here is sooo goooooooodd!!!! i love the food! lol.

alright so i've been to my dad's birthplace, way cool. the people like eat at my uncle's house for dinner everyday and we just sit around and eat and talk for like hours on end. no one has a care in the world. i find myself wishing i had grown up here just because everyone is so close and i'm so jealous that they have family all around them while i have always had to create my own extended family...after going there we went to halong bay which was GORGEOUS! and we climbed a "mountain" and let me tell you that was not fun! lol. after i went shopping in hanoi...everything is soooo cheap! it's crazy! i realize how much we spend in the states after this.

so now i'm in saigon chillin with immediate fam and i mean we chill to the max! like, wake up, eat, chill, sleep, eat, sleep, wake up, eat, go out, come back and sleep...repeat repeat. tomorrow we go to the beach and after who knows...it's so weird cuz denise and i are treated like vips cuz they've never met us before. my aunt had a room added onto her house for us cuz she was scared we wouldn't be able to handle the heat so she had the room made with a/c! and yesterday we went to pay respects to my grandparents "grave" and that was way intense. made me realize how lucky i am that my parents are here with me and don't really live too far away. my dad wouldn't stop crying and didn't want to leave the temple where they were laid to rest cuz he misses them so much and felt so bad for not being there to like take care of them and such.

i dunno man, the people are so poor here but they're so happy. all the have is family and they keep them close, i wish it were like that back in the states. everyone is for themselves while people here are for survival but not at the expense of others...there's no sense of competition or like the betterment of one insake of the others...you know? i wish you could see...the babies are soo cute, hanging on the motorbikes or riding bikes around. playing with like sling shots and such. tiny things that make them so happy. and then you whip out a digital camera and it's like christmas for everyone. even the grown ups are like can i see that? that's so cool...then you realize what they do so that you are comfortable and appreciate them even more because they've never even met you and yet they go above and beyond their means to make sure you are ok without even second guessing their decisions. gawd! i don't want to leave, i wish i had more time to experience this.
