Wish I knew more artist  better, but currently i can properly talk just about work around Gackt and Hyde, you can see it everywhere -  artist wearing crosses and so...nothing new in jrock.

I think you have it exactly right! Good for them for using Biblical material as inspiration fro interesting, meaning-rich works.

i didnt understood what Gackt played in December Love Song, but his guardian angel concept makes it seem heartwarming-ish :) its interesting on how they use a religious word and it already means or symbolize the main theme of the song or album if you think about it.
