I ended off the week on such a great note.
I did three Evals and three treats on my own/semi on my own today and got rave reviews!!
This tough big russian pt said I was good lol.
So now I just have to keep up from there. I am getting more and more aware of all the lines attached to the pts. And like I told my CI, if I can do things without getting nervous when my CI
is watching then by the time she leaves me alone I'll definitely be fine.
wooo.
I feel bad though b/c another girl there is going through the same nervousness/lack of confidence I did. She told me in private so I told her that I've totally been there and gave her advise about kind of pretending your CI isn't there and just constantly telling yourself that you know what you're doing.
oh ya...this week I saw a Swan Ganz catheter getting put in, I helped open and close this weird clamp thingy and pass a PEG tube in (eeeeek....so glad I am not an MD lol), and spent the morning watching Echocardiograms (Ultrasound and transthoracic). Never thought I'd see all of that in physical therapy school.
After walking around ALL DAY at work today I had to rehearse three different dances and two songs for the show. My legs are wiped out. I don't know how I did this in highschool...though I suppose I sat alot more in class then.
speaking of high school, tomorrow night is the Darby Player reunion!!! I'm sooo excited to see people I haven't seen in forever!!! Its going to be sooo fun, especially since they'll all be experiencing a very different Toni from the one they knew in HS haha. I'm still relatively quiet but I'm a lot more vocal then I used to be!!
I could write more but I gotta go veg w/ greggie on the couch before bed.
