Grandpa came over which is odd because he never leaves his house, anyway grandpa is old and very funny. we got on the subject of the korean war which he fought in, he then decided to tell us everything about it from his point of view. First he told us about the boat ride over there, "it was a small bit a boat, and on em big waves it rolled back em forth, and on a good day there was no ripples in the water it was like staren at glass, thats when i saw the sea monster." at this point everyone is laughing then i ask what color it was, grandpa tells me it was brownish tan, then he continues "i saw it en it was a big one, i mean huge, we was in the middle of the Antlantic, those fool saliors was playen poker on the deck and i pulled the man next to me over but right before he looked it went back under water, it could of been one of them Giant octopuses it could ev." we all look at my dad to see if he'll back up grandpa's story but suddently he seemed real interested in his napkin, so we turn back to grandpa. "Then we got off that boat and set up in germany, you know this reminds me of when we had the rock war, Russia was angry an linen soldiers up so us americans were also there, if they moved we would, there was a little stream with barbed wire on both sides and them Russias on one side and us on the other. See we was only there that if they started firen we would fire back we would only last against them about 6 hours but in that time the villigers could run and in a couple hours after that help would mabey come for us. But that never happened the biggest thing that happend there was everyone lined up at at the barb wire on either side and cussed at each other, i didnt even speak russia but now i know a few words then we started chucken rocks back em forth, so we had our rock war." Grandpa also went on to tell us about his encounter with a yeti and the time he was hunting squirrls with his cousin carl and all the strange stuff that happend. Later he also told us about the two times he was ever half-drunk in the army (one with tequila(or however you spell that) from a mexican boy when you could freeze an arm off and one when he drunk an entire bottle of red wine alone in an hour). One last thing he told us about was a duck pound in Germany and he and his friends threw fire crackers under um to see how high they could make em jump and if you set one off in a house if blew out all the windows, he would know since he tried. In other words Good times Good times.
