lola ray
this weekend was effing busy. but fabulous. let me back-track to like, tuesday. so that day was great. it started out awful. tyler and i got into a fight. i'll neglect details out of respect, but i was just really pissed off. i called john to talk to him about coming to see lola ray in phily on friday, and i found out great news from him. and then he just gave me great advice for tyler, and also told me he'd get me in on friday if it was an over 21 show. that nite, tyler and i talked stuff over and made up, and felt 120%. then we went out with angela (my 'big sib' at hood) and david to denny's and didn't get back to hood till like, 3 something in the morning. but i found a dollar. so it was one great hting after another. i loved everyone and everything that day. so the week goes on, and friday rolls around. and angela, her boyfriend kirk, tyler, maggie and i drove to phily. but only after i cut and died angela's hair a dark brown, and did her eyebrows and make up. kirk almost passed a brick when he saw her. she was already way cute, but now she's smokin'. and she looks a ton like john's girl, kaylee. so anyway, we went to phily and got there just in time. we had to stay in the back, but i stood up on this window seat/booth thing, and he spotted me right away. the show kicked my ass. 'automatic girl' was soooo....ahhh, i don't even know. it is just a brilliantly written song. the melody on 'i've got automatic love for automatic girl' just sounded so frickin awesome. and 'charlit movie star'....let's just say that one of the more special moments in my life. afterward, i got to FINALLY meet brian and james, and alex too. they're all awesome guys. in spite of how sadly my relationship with brendan ended, i wouldn't take it back for a lot of reasons, including meeting other awesome people. we all went out and grabbed a slice, and just talked for a while. me and ang are already planning to go out again on oct. 30th, and maybe even head out to NYC for a visit. wow, what a great nite.
then saturday, i was in DC all day. the WAshington Post Music & Dance Scholarship Awards Program concert thing i did last year asked me to come back as a special guest this year to sing 'at last' again. it went really well, but was very tiring. and i was already exhausted from friday nite. i hadn't gotten home till 4 AM. then today, i sang my stuff at this autumn fest thing. i made $150, which isn't bad. but i really need to polish up...i was so dead while i was playing. anywho.....ty's on his way up soon. fun stuff. class tomorrow at 8:30. leadership at 6 AM. ugh......
