and turns me to gold in the sunlight

Today I have: finished another grad school application, done laundry, and cleaned my room. Yesterday I interviewed to become an SAT tutor. Not my ideal teaching position, but $25/hour means I can eventually quit Job #2, which has been truly horrific for the past few days.

But enough of this RL nonsense! I have thoughts on last night's White Collar. Things I loved, in no particular order:
  • THE RETURN OF ELIZABETH AND THE OT3 DYNAMIC! Oh, El, never leave us again.
  • The return of Alex! Leather pants must be awfully hard to get out of, though I bet Neal knows seventeen ways to do it in three seconds or less. *G* I covet her second outfit.
  • Neal the fantastic conman and Peter the super smart FBI agent! &hearts
  • June and Mozz playing Parcheesi! I love June so much.
  • Diane Neal's sexy, sexy voice.
You know, I have to say that I felt for Agent Rice in this episode. She made a bad call, but Peter and Neal mocking her towards the beginning felt very Boys' Club and I winced. To be a woman and a rising star in the FBI, Rice probably does three times as much work as the average male agent. I totally get Peter's disdain for people who do the right thing for the recognition rather than its own sake, but he has not had to fight for recognition the way Rice must have. However, I am pleased for the show for allowing Rice to own her mistake, and I hope to see her again.

Also, I just checked USA's White Collar website, and Cruz's character bio alludes to ~smoldering tension~ between Neal and her. *amused* I think they need to be onscreen together for more than six minutes before they can have chemistry, PTB...
