Oh God, I slept in far too late after spending NYE finishing a 2000-piece puzzle with my family. (I lead a scandalous life.) My eyai Yuletide story is going to be so, so late. *whimpers* On the bright side, Yuletide reveals are today! Yay!
I was lucky enough to get a gift AND a treat this year.
Human After All, Or Six Times Quinn Had a Revelation In Bed is a lovely Quinn-centric Glee fic with bonus Rachel/Quinn.
The People Look Like Ants From Here is a super cool fic based on "The Astronaut" by Amanda Palmer. I ♥ my Yuletide writers! :D As for what I perpetrated:
The Book Seeker (The Book Thief, gen)
In Motion (Dead Poets Society, Neil/Todd)
Sea-Change (The Tempest, gen)
Give Me My Sin Again (Bare, Peter/Jason)
Never Met A More Impossible Girl ("Delilah" by the Dresden Dolls, gen)
I wrote in some teeny tiny fandoms this year! The Book Seeker was my actual gift, and it was nerve-wracking to write fic for such an amazing book, let me tell you. The Book Thief breaks my heart in all the best ways, and everybody should read it if they haven't already.
I cranked out In Motion because it was Christmas Eve and the requester still didn't have a full-length Yuletide gift, and I always have 1000+ words of Neil/Todd LOVE in me. It was fun to do something from Neil's POV, since most DPS fic features Todd pining in adorable fashion.
Sea-Change came about just because I love The Tempest a whole lot, and Shakespeare fic is an excuse to write all poetical. Plus, doing it for Yuletide meant someone else who loves the play got a present! \o/
Give Me My Sin Again was because I felt morally obligated to produce Bare fic after writing the Yuletide pimp post for it. Peter/Jason is love. Tragic, tragic love.
Never Met A More Impossible Girl was written, um, approximately 45 minutes before the deadline. "Delilah" is one of my favorite songs ever, so I knew I had to write for the request when I came across it.
Interesting note on Yuletide this year: my summaries grow increasingly terrible as the deadline for uploading treats approached. They read pretty much like: "SHIT HAPPENS IN THIS STORY, OH GOD LOOK AT THE TIME."
