Yo!

So you haven't heard from me in a bit, and I'll admit I've been neglecting LJ for other internet pursuits like facebook, my blog, and yes, even twitter (though to be fair, my twitter is only an extension of my blog, so it's not about me, per se.) But rest assured, LJ world, I still love ya.

So years ago, more than 4, actually, I put together this nerdy little post where I did a bunch of math using the places I've lived and how long I lived there to determine my average location. Just over four years ago, when I did it, my average of Boston, Wilmington, Baltimore, Tampa, and Greensboro placed me in Caroline County, MD, on the eastern shore and just east of the DE state line at Kent County. Now, after 4+ more years in Greensboro, it's understandably moved farther southwest. The current calculation puts me in the Chesapeake Bay, just off the shore of Prince Frederick, MD in Calvert County.

I figured I'd do that because I realized I've been in Greensboro nearly five years, longer than I've lived anywhere else, besides of course Delaware. And while I'm 302 till I'm through, this is my first post-school location, first pro job, first place I've owned property, etc. So I definitely realize I'll always be a Greensboroan in some form or fashion.

I never claim to be a southerner, but it's worth noting that I've lived in the solid South for about five years, in a southern state for another two (Tampa) and south of the Mason-Dixon for four more than that. And yes, my vowels are getting longer and my tea is getting sweeter, so while I don't claim it, I suppose I don't protest as loud as I once did.

And really, I say all that to say: My new seersucker slacks go SO HARD, y'all.

OK, technically, the internet tells me they're pincord, which is the style of seersucker (blue/white stripe) without the permawrinkle. But yeah, expect some rockage this summer.
