These are pictures from Me and Megan's excursion to Western NC. I'm not going to provide too much explanation, as for the most part I think they're pretty self-explanatory. But I will give a quick run-down of what we did on the trip, and then the pictures will be in that order, so that should help.
-Biltmore Estate: The largest residence in America, built by the Vanderbilts. In addition to the actual house (in which we could not take pictures) there were the gardens, the farm, the winery, and of course lovely fall foliage.
-Asheville. cool little hippy town, where we caught up with my friend Holly who is originally from Asheville and currently works at Western Carolina U. in Cullowhee.
-Camping (Kamping?) overnight at a KOA just outside of Asheville.
-Grandfather Mountain, the tallest mountain on the eastern escarpment of the Blue Ridge Mountains and one of the tallest peaks in the Eastern United States. It also had a nature area and a mile high swinging bridge. And of course... more Fall colors!
All that said, without further ado:
(warning: There's alotta damn pictures. If you have a slower computer, I wouldn't recommend it.)
