It's been a little while since I've had a post with some substance, and before that it was all Carey's wedding, so near as I can tell it's been probably over 2 weeks since y'all have heard what the fuck's up with me. So, what the fuck's up?
Let's see, this weekend Megan and I went to see Anna Nalick (the girl who sings "Breathe [2 A.M.] as she was quite sure many people only knew her by) on Friday night in Winston Salem. She put on a helluva show. Prior to that, we kicked it in the Tré, going to Hanes Mall, which is strangely constructed in that it's got one of its department stores (JC Penney) dead in the middle of the mall, so you have to cross through that to get to the other half. It does, however, have a
Maggie Moo's, the likes of which I haven't encountered since I was down in Florida. We also ate a TGIFriday's.
Let me jump back up to today for a hot minute. We were watching Guts on Nickelodeon GAS and who should be on it but A.J. McLean from the Backstreet Boys! LMAO.
Right then. This past week my new colleague/officemate began. So far so good, she seems cool enough. She's another young kid (though older than me I'm pretty sure), fresh out of the grad program at Clemson. Meanwhile, her predecessor and my former coworker and good friend ist still on the job hunt. I want her to get a job ASAP, but I also want her to stick around here (which is possible, there's a position at Elon)
I escaped from the Dungeon of LittleDrummrBoy!
I killed Glittercowboy the leprechaun, Ajunegloombaby the troll, Electricsheep82 the rat, Luvleelocs the goblin and Patricia05 the troll.

World Cup is over. Congrats, Italy. In more important (to me) sports news, less than 8 weeks until college footbal begins!
Now then, back to the 4th of July. By day, we went and saw the
UniverSoul Circus. Definitely a good time, if you haven't been I recommend it. I will say some parts of it were less "ooh ahh" and more "holy shit, I think they might die." But I guess that's the beauty of the circus. And it was hosted by Tony Tone, who I had seen before at NACA. He definitely did the damn thing. For some reason, he reminds me of my boy Jock from pep band at UMBC.
that evening we went to Greensboro's concert and fireworks. Well, at least the concert part. Me, Megan, Heather, and M.L. had posted up at the stadium and were playing some cards, but around about 9pm when they were supposed to do a ceremony and then shoot off the fireworks, they ordered everyone to their cars because there was a storm brewing. They said they'd shoot off the fireworks later but since it was finna rain we just headed home. So we missed the fireworks and watched the ones from NY on TV.
on the 3rd of July, which, as you know, is traditionally the jumpoff, I went out to a coupla places with Megan, M.L., Heather, and Nicole. First we went to the Rhino downtown, which was pretty wack... there was some band that was no good, and it was just hot and nasty up in that joint. We then headed to the Blind Tiger, where Pat Rock was playing, a band that was pretty good. Well, this was one of M.L.'s first time being out and about since she stopped working at UNCG. Well, we were supposed to have been meeting up with Kaiser, who's a Lambda Chi alum. By the time Megan and I headed out, half of Lambda Chi was there and M.L. was plrenty drunk. It was good times.
Earlier that day after work, Megan and I went to
Red Robin, which just opened up around here. We actually tried to go on Saturday but apparently that was their training day and they were only open to people by invitation only. At any rate, we went on Monday and they had like every one of their employees on shift. It was good, both food and servicewise, but we definitely had like 15 different people check on us.
I guess that brings us back to last weekend. Megan and I went to Triad Stage to see
Morticians in Love. It was cool--it was the late night theatre offering so it started at about 11pm.
I think by and large I have reversed back to where I was before so I'ma shut up now and go back to watching Family Guy (yes, I started this over 6 hours ago). Holla!
