I feel bad that someone may wake up to the same fate I did. I went out to my ailing car just now (which I haven't jumped yet--probably tomorow by daylight) and the car parked next to me has its dome light on. It's one of my neighbors, or at least one of the cars that's always there, but I have no clue where this person lives, and with 5 other possibilities on myside of the building, I'm not going door-to-door. I figure maybe it's a door that didn't get shut all the way, so after much hemming and hawwing about the potential appearance of a black man trying to get into someone's car, I try to surreptitiously open and shut their two front doors (since they're probably the most likely culprits unless the person came home with a full car). No luck--in fact, it seemed an additional (dome?) light came on when I opened the door, so I don't know if it's an alternative light source or not, and I wasn't finna investigate. At any rate, I really did try to help, but nothing seemed to work, short of crawling all up in their shit and manually switching if off, and I don't see me doing that... sorry neighbor!
I actually just re-joined AAA. Maybe i'll call them out to fix my shit instead of playing both sides of the jump by myself. We'll see.
