I'm feeling a bit better, but still not up to 100%. Hopefully being able to chill this weekend will get me up to par.
I'm listening to my coworker, M.L., our greek advisor, talk on the phone to our administrative assistant, Sara. Mind you, I can hear both parts of the conversation, clearly and with them speaking at normal volumes, since Sara's desk is DIRECTLY in front of M.L.'s office.
It's interesting to think that a few short years ago there was no CAB on this campus, and programming was done by the person in my position with the assistance of program assistants. What I would assume this meant, being the student affairsy folks we are, is that this person was responsible for making sure programming was developmental. I think I much prefer it my way, where the developmental stuff takes place with my board and the programming can be entertainment for entertainment's sake. If we teach you something, I assure you it was an accident. :-)
I've got a new job assignment that will hopefully get me better connected here in Greensboro. I'm looking forward to it.
But for now, I shut up.
