Jonah knows three places in the universe.
One is in flames for millions of miles. The screams of the planets attack him, shatter his mind, and come out of his own mouth.
One is dark and damp, with peeling paint and soothing hands. He's never here for long.
One is a forest. He is young, and sunlight filters through the leaves, making the dappled ground look green. His mother is here with a basket and a bottle of tea. He's been here once, only once.
The memory hurts much more than the flames or the cold damp stone ever could.
