It took five years to finish school. Taylor used it well, teaching herself geology, paleobiology and survival techniques.
Two more years to find the ARC and another to get in the door, and by that time, she was ready for anything. Or so she thought.
She well knew the dangers - how could she not have realized that after eight years, Cutter and Stephen might be gone?
Then given how long she'd built up her memories of anomaly travel, how could it be as incredible as she'd fantasized, stepping through that cloud of lights into another era?
