He remembered a flash of light and heat searing his skin, then he woke in a wasteland, filthy, bruised and ravenous. No matter. He was Harry Saxon. People would fall at his feet and give him anything.
As he rose from the dirt, he saw the sky in a puddle. Moving closer, he could see the reflection of a man. This man's eyes were wild and hungry, much like the mad, mad eyes he had seen in mirrors throughout his lives.
But this man was not Harry Saxon. Mad, perhaps, but Harry would never have done that to his hair.
