This was just wonderful - I love how you described Death, especially her changing forms. I also loved how the beginning and the ending paralleled each other. So sweet, and so sad.
Holy fucking shit, I am actually on the verge of tears right now. This fic is so beautiful (but so incredibly sad- my heart hurts so much for Finnick). I love that you chose to write him looking back at everyone he loves after his death- it makes so much sense that he would want to hold on to them for as long as he can and not be ready to leave.
“The broken man will simply fade, dreaming of his loved ones while he sleeps.” Haymitch. That line especially killed me, because Haymitch is my absolute favorite character in this series. That entire section of how each one of them was going to die was so painful for me but each scenario was so fitting for each of their characters.
The ending was fabulous as well- I love the fact that you circled back to the "you humans and your sentiments" line.
