Long Time, No See?

Wow, it's been years since I logged into livejournal to make any kind of real post. I kind of migrated to Facebook and stayed. I've been thinking more and more about my writing lately, and decided I really need to at least get back into the habit of keeping a journal, even if I'm not working on anything else specifically. Sometimes you just want to write about what's on your mind and not necessarily make a story out of it. Facebook just doesn't feel like the proper platform for that sort of thing, so here I am, once again. Hello!
So what do you DO with all your old, unused social networking sites? The myspace, the flickr account, the ages old geocities website (you know, that may even be gone - I wouldn't know how to even look it up anymore)? I noticed livejournal has at some point made a way to connect your twitter and facebook accounts, which is nice. Wonder when they put that in? I've heard mention of memorial sites for those who have passed on - but what happens to their email accounts? what happens to my old email accounts that I haven't logged into in years? I can't even remember the password to a couple of them.
Anyhoo, random things on the brain today. It's a lovely day and I have it off so I'm enjoying being relaxed and not doing too much. I spent hours watching videos of Saving Grace on Animal Planet's website - a weblog about a couple in the UK who rescued and raised a baby otter for a year back in 2005. So. Freaking. Cute.
