Miles run this week: 25.2
This week's plan:
The plan won't be completely followed because of travel to Florida Thursday through Monday of next week. I still intend to keep the #RWRunStreak going though!
Monday - one mile and "12 Days of Christmas" strength
One slow treadmill mile for #RWRunStreak Day 19/39
12 Days of Xmas strength routine - had to fudge a few rounds at the end due to time constraints:
1 - 60s plank
2 - warrior yoga series
3 - sun salutations
4 - hammer curls 20# dumbbells
5 - pushups
6 - deadlifts
7 - triceps press
8 - chest fly
9 - rows w/ resistance band
10 - side step w/ resistance band
11 - high knees
12 - jump squats
Tuesday - #10kTuesday
6.2 miles, 8:23/mi average. Miles 5 and 6 were close to 8 minute miles! WHAT. I'm so glad the rain held off, though I was fully (mentally) prepared to run in the rain because I was NOT in the mood to dreadmill it today. #optoutside
Wednesday - 30 min tempo
Well I got a little overly aggressive on the paces, but other than that this went pretty well. It was a gorgeous day outside - cool but sunny, no wind.
Thursday - [traveling in Florida]
Got up early and did a quick mile at 8:30 pace around the neighborhood in the dark before we had to leave for our morning flight to Florida.
Friday - [traveling in Florida]
Did a short run with Scott around his parents' neighborhood, 3.75 miles at average 8:02 pace. Scott runs faster than I do, so I was just trying to keep up with him. It's (obviously) warmer in Florida than I'm used to so I was working hard!
Saturday - [traveling in Florida]
Ran to a nearby playground in Scott's parents' neighborhood to meet the rest of the family there so the kids could play. 2.9 miles @ 8:24 pace.
Sunday - [traveling in Florida]
Ran to AND from the playground this time, and Scott joined me. Total 5.5 miles @ 8:44 average.
Glad I could maintain the streak, but I'll be happy to be back on a more normal (and cooler!) training schedule.
