time for an update!
Here's my general plan for everyone that doesn't know yet:
- I'm taking the Alcohol and other drug Counseling certificate at UCR Extension so I can keep my job there. They comped my class so I get to take a free class to keep my job...good deal I'd say.
- I'm taking American Sign Language 1, Social Inequality and Intro to the Theater at RCC. I'm totally excited for the sign language class. I can't wait for it to start on Wednesday! (check back with me a few days later and see if i'm still excited...)
- I'm currently reapplying to medical school - a whole $1130 worth of them so far. That's not counting any secondary applications which normally range from $60-$100 each. The list of the schools I've applied to so far goes as follows:
MD Schools: Albany Medical College, Albert Einstein School of Medicine, Boston University School of Medicine, Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons, Drexel University, Duke University School of Medicine, Georgetown University School of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina, New York Medical College, Rosalind Franklin School of Medicine, Rush Medical College, Saint Louis University School of Medicine, State University of New York Downstate, University of Vermont Medical College, UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program, UCD, UCI, UCSD
DO Schools: AT Still University (AZ), Western University (Pomona), University of New England (Portland, ME), Touro COM - there's three: one in Mare Island, one in Henderson (Mikaela's school), and one in New York
These are my top choices: UCR/UCLA Thomas Haider Program, UCSD, UCI, Albert Einstein, BU, SUNY Downstate, Touro in Henderson or New York, or University of New England
So...wish me luck! I'm hoping to have lots of time for hanging out with people...I hope it works out that way!!
