So the beloved is taking the LSAT today, and wanted me to drive her to and from the test site. When my boss forgot not to put me on the schedule for this morning, I arranged to switch shifts with someone from work, got the directions, and work up early this morning to drive her and found a nearby Starbucks at which to read and hang out while I waited for her to finish. Except that the person who was supposed to take over my shift this morning never showed. And now I am getting chewed out by my boss because all shifts I am assigned to are my responsibility. Even if I put in a request to have the morning off weeks ago. Even if I got someone else to cover the shift, who simply didn't show. I hate this job SO MUCH.
In the end, I'm concluding that some things are simply more important than my heinous coffee shop job. But I REALLY didn't need this today.
