Umm, this week? I don't remember much about the beginning of the week - I hung out with
emily_n_90, went to the mall and got a cute dress, a tank top, and some underwear from Victoria's Secret. I had lunch with Philip's Mom on Thursday at Alibaba, which is a terrific Middle Eastern restuarant just down the block, and then we went to the Indian grocery store on Campbell and I helped her find what she'd need to make saag paneer for her gourmet club. Friday was Opening Day for baseball - yay! Philip and I made blueberry waffles for breakfast and then he went to his doctor's appointment while I watched the first half of the Red Sox game. When he came back, I went to pick up pizza (Blackjack's - better than Domino's but just as cheap) and we turned on the Diamondbacks game. After baseball, we went to Target and Walmart to pick up a wall mount for our new TV and a bookshelf and spent the rest of the night putting stuff together - well, Philip did, and I sat on the couch and stayed out of the way.
We went to the street fair on Saturday morning and spent a few hours there. Philip bought some salsa and I got a jar of mountain oak honey - so delicious- as well as a few other trinkets for people. We stopped by Safeway on the way home so I could stock up on strawberries ($1.24 a carton, yes) and got home in time for the start of the Diamondbacks game. Dinner was mostly leftovers for Philip, and I had two cheesesticks from the day before and two pieces of toast with apple butter. Philip messed around on the internet after the game and I downloaded a bunch of new books for my Kindle and read until we decided it was late enough for us to go to bed.
Sunday morning we went out to breakfast at Bobo's - I'm obsessed with their home fries, and luckily, a plate of home fries, two eggs, and toast is a mere $1.50 if you get there before 8am. I threw in a load of laundry when we got home and had it finished just before we had to leave to go to Mass - we usually go for the night service, but we went to St. Thomas with his parents instead, and then went to their house and played in the pool before we helped make wood fired pizza, and hung out and watched TV for a few hours before going home. Philip spent most of the night trying to reprogram the TV remote (I keep telling him we need a new one, but he keeps trying to fix it himself, which is cute, if frustrating) and I read, and then we watched a VH1 special on Saturday Night Live before we went to bed.
Really, we're very exciting.
