Piggy
Martin has recently become attached to a specific toy - a stuffed pig. We've been noticing a growing attachment and had been looking for a "backup" Piggy, but it seems it was a seasonal item and the store no longer carries it.
Last night at bedtime we couldn't find Piggy. Martin NEEDS Piggy to sleep, apparently, and would not be dissuaded with previous bedtime favorites such as TowTruck. It took about 45 minutes of both of us searching to find Piggy, and another 30 minutes to calm Martin back down after the terror of No Piggy At Bedtime.
Ash has just ordered some replacement stuffed pigs online. My sister got three "backup" Owlys after a similar experience with my nephew.
