mlk holiday weekend and other stuff
winter quarter '05..i had to crash all the classes im in now and thankfully i got in..
taking intro to photo for the art major..FINALLY! (more about that later),
cultural anthropology, my TA is quite a character, and Muppet Magic:
its a Theatre Arts class, we learn about the history of puppets and focus
on Henson's Muppet Show...my teacher is hilarious...my TA is a pain
in the ass, oh and the girl from Real World Philadelphia, melanie is in it and shes
in my section, weird...so basically one class is for the major, another is
for a GE, and the other is one you can only get in college...haha...
so this past weekend i went home...because i wanted to even though it was too
soon....but most of my friends who i hang out with went home and being stuck
here with monday off plus not having classes on fridays was going to be torture
so i gotta ride and left thursday night...got home 2ish...tried to sleep and at 4 got
the shit scared out of me by my mom..freaking hilarious...friday went to watch elektra
with rowena, good movie, she was hot, but could have been a lot better and longer
oh well...thats what alias is for...then went to olive garden to celebrate rachels bday
with her school friends..kinda felt like i shouldnt have been there but i thank row for
wanting me to come along and it was good cause hazel went too so we began plans
for the long anticipated road trip to san francisco...whew planning it was harder
than expected but im happy that we and joyce are all in it together to make it
less stressful...im really excited when it comes
saturday i drove into hollywood to but photo supplies...driving was a bitch
cause i took my dad's truck and it was hot and there was traffic...almost got into
a crash and the whole time i thought i was lost...but found it and got back home
safely....then attempted to do my paper that was to be due that tuesday...THAT DID
NOT HAPPEN...at night my parents and joyce arrived from SLO and SB...
sunday we as a family spent cleaning the house and washing the car...joyce and i
along with our parents went to acapulco to eat while justin stayed behind cause he
had to go be in a debut....after eating we went to the mall...joyce and i bought some
shades and i bought a coat from old navy..that night i stayed up till 3 trying to do my
paper but my heart was not in it..
monday woke up, and me along with my mom and joyce went to get the lancer's oil
changed...i took pictures...had a lot of fun....then went home..talked with my mom
about not being really happy up in SC...but in the end..i think i'll just stay and finish it out
..i'm content and intend to make the best of the rest of the year and the next two years...i
think i finally found what i was searching for all along and if i leave now, i'm going to lose it
left sc at 2ish...got in at 9...and from then on till 6 in the morning i did my paper..slept.
woke up at 9 and finished at 3...went crazy trying to print the damn paper...but got it done...
so now off to read...so behind and i have a midtem next week...looking forward to the road
trip but going to SF in two weeks anyways to visit the MOMA! yeah!!!...
and i have made the point to watch more tv this quarter because it makes me happy and its my
escape from academics...thanks to desperate housewives, alias, project runway, american
chopper and basically anything on BRAVO for keeping me sane..bring back BLOW OUT!
