The heat wave continues. It was 39C (102F) degrees again today, with high winds. Perfect day for a bushfire. After almost 100 people died in the 2009 firestorms the Emergency Service created a new fire danger level: catastrophic. Today is the first time I can remember this new highest level being used. There were lots of small fires around my town today, mostly lit by bored teenagers on school holidays. Arses. A lot of people have been very scared.
Tomorrow the forecast is for a maximum of 28C degrees. I can't wait.
