The young man who comes to Morvydd's rooms in the middle of the night and leans on her door shuddering and panting is at first not quite recognisable as Gaheris. His clothes are dishevelled, his eyes wild, he's gone lostly and stumbling through the Mansion more than once, and he has a cry in his throat that's bound be to be born dead. Somehow he found her, some tiny instinct drawing him towards the safe place.
