HEY ALL!!!
Yes I'm still alive. I know it's been a while, but man has it been interesting. So in brief review...my life:
1. Worked all semester on an Undergraduate Research Project. Kicked some ass on it. Final official title: Physiological and haematological correlations between body mass, metabolic rate and erythrocyte characteristics between foraging styles in aquatic birds. Basically I looked at how diving or dabbling (think ducks that just flip upside down with their tail out of the water) styles of eating affect the body. Like I said kicked some ass on it. Actually just submitted a copy to the Journal of Avian Biology to be reviewed for publication. =) really excited about that
2. Finished exams. Now officially done my undergrad. Will be graduating with an Honors Bachelors of Zoology with a Psychology Minor. Grad ceremonies are in June.
3. Moved to Owen Sound. Temporarily living with Alex until I start my summer job.
4. Summer job is a field assistant position with a Trent University Masters student (in association with the MNR). I'll be trapping and collaring black bears and doing habitat assessments. I'll be living and working in Algonquin Park for the summer at a field station (room and board included). Once that's done I'll be coming back to Owen Sound until I figure out what's happening next.
So that's the update for now. Must get back to work. Hope all is going well for everyone. Drop me a line.
