Happy Google Search Tips

Boolean is all well and good, but Google has a few more tricks up its sleeve.

I happily found this one last year when researching for a class. To search within a single website (i.e. if the site you're looking at doesn't have a search function), put your search term into google followed by site:www.example.com
Ex: "horse site:www.nytimes.com"

To not include a search term, instead of using the "Not" operator, put a "-" in front of the term you want to exclude. (Interestingly enough, the "OR" operator apparently does work.)

Another that I use a fair amount is the ability to simply put an equation into google and have the answer displayed as the result! Yea! No more counting on my fingers or struggling to find a calculator (or waiting for the one on my computer to start up)!
