While I guess it is time for an update.

Tonight we got back from Starbucks where we signed a lease on our first house. Rented, of course, but a house regardless!

“We’re moving on up! Moving on up! Blah blah blah….Christina doesn’t remember the rest of the words…”

Okay, so I just went in to check on Kinsey and she was like barely conscious laying over a mound of toys in her crib (that kid keeps an army of toys in her bed, I think she is prepared to rise up in a revolution or something) and fighting sleep badly. So I move her to her pillow (the kid’s crib is huge she has a playroom and a bedroom in it) and give her a pacifier, which doesn’t soothe her so I give her a bottle (yeah yeah I am a bad mother for letting her sleep with a bottle I get it) and she starts to doze off for TWO seconds before she jumps awake and pushes the bottle out of her mouth and claws the covers off to go back to playing. That kid will fight sleep to the death I tell you.

So back to the house, it was needed since we are outgrowing the apartment but I am still going to be sad to see this place go. After all this is where we brought Kinsey home and this is where she first crawled and slept through the night and called me “mama”. Just a lot of memories tied up between these walls. This is where Tim and I spent our wedding night and where I slept for no more then an hour at a time on the sleeper sofa so I could wake up and breastfeed Kinsey for three months. Man was she a terrible eater. She could never commit herself to a meal then and she still doesn’t. I think I might have the only seven month old that diets.

In other news, I am officially a CPS student. It took a lot of hard work but I managed to finagle the administration into it! Okay really going CPS wasn’t hard work-hard work was trying to get them to let me take CPS and Day school classes. I wasn’t successful there anyway. So now I am in the adult program and hopefully this will help my time commitments some. It was a lot of work to decide to transfer programs. I had to make sure it wasn’t going to affect my degree (it doesn’t - you get an Indiana Tech degree no matter which program you graduate from) and then graduate school. Graduate school was the tricky one because while my degree isn’t affected, it would show on my transcripts the change because my semesters would suddenly be different (five weeks over fifteen weeks). But the good point was I wasn’t going to have the two-three years to take off and go a serious graduate program. I am most likely going to get a job and find a company that will pay for my degree to just go take graduate classes wherever is closest. Yep, sounds about right and in that fact my graduating from the accelerated CPS program isn’t going to matter.

There have been other changed at work but I am sleepy now and need to go to bed. I have been suffering from a bad cold and I took nitequil and it is kicking in. If anyone cares finals went fine, as always. But seriously, I have come to the realization that I am an exceptional student. Not exceptional meaning my work is always done first and foremost and the best (which it often is but not ALWAYS) but in the fact that school wok comes surprisingly naturally too me and I get away with a lot less work then the other students. My A’s took three hours where theirs took six. I don’t know why I can not study and reasonably deduct my way to an A on the test or how I can not be in class for two weeks and score the best in the class. I am starting to realize how easy I have it though and how lucky I am for that. Wouldn’t trade it for the world though…enough things eat up my time I don’t need another way to be busy.

Okay now I am really, really sleepy…night.
