Oh Consumption, how great though art!
With you Americans, will never part.
To spend our hard earned money in frivolous ways,
Is the greatest way to spend our days!
Why buy one, when you can have two,
Of every contraption, old or new.
From paying a hundred dollars for a six cent shoe,
To buying gas for a buck seventy-two.
We devour, absorb, and monopolize,
Anything to get our prize.
And though this talk of consumption, brings fun to no end,
I've gotta go... I've got more money I need to spend.
