Aaargh I'm getting sick! Stopit!!
I want to stop sniffling, but I can't. Blargh.
*******
I'm ready for new books to read. Any good recommendations out there?
It's hard for me to describe what I like to read, since it depends more on "a good story" (in my opinion, anyway) rather than a particular type or genre. Most of the time I end up reading fiction rather than nonfiction, though, and I think most of my favorite books are actually children's books/young adult (i.e.: The Neverending Story, The Little Prince, Chronicles of Narnia, Holes, Half Magic, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, etc.).
When it comes to more adult books, I've enjoyed Isabel Allende (I've only read a couple of her books, though), Gabriel García Márquez (One Hundred Years of Solitude being my fave), and C.S. Lewis' "Out of the Silent Planet"...and I'd love to get my hands on the remaining books of his "Space Trilogy." Um, what else...Memoirs of a Geisha is good...and I used to like Paulo Coelho but not anymore, to be honest.
So, I don't know if that gives anyone a ballpark idea of what I may like to read, but if it does, please feel free to toss any good books my way :)
Thank you!
