Relay pics!
I didn't take as many as I should have, but here's a few...
The word "Hope" formed with luminarias (paper bags weighed down with sand and lit up with teacandles...each bag represents a person whose either survived cancer, is struggling with it, or has died of it.
Then we had the whole relay track lined up with them...each luminaria bearing a name.
Here are the ones we dedicated to my uncle (struggling with leukemia), my grandfather (died of prostate cancer) and my mom (survived cancer of the uterus). Ignore the "Don't Give Up" caption on my mom's; that was written by mistake =P
And here's my uncle's luminaria up close.
