First day.

It's my first day here. Americans are very a rather strange bunch. Sometimes it feels like they're speaking a whole other language, in fact. And what's this with the omitting the 'u's in all their words? Favourite, colour... that's how it's supposed to look!

I do like it here, though, even if I'm nervous being so far from home. Some of the people seem very nice. I haven't met any teachers yet, but I'm looking forward to it.
