Today, was the day.
Today, at precisely 2:45 in the afternoon, a beautiful bundle of joy was welcomed into the world. This beautiful bundle of joy coming in the form of my little baby niece, Ellie!
OMG I'm an AUNTY!!!! woot!! *dances* I'm an aunty to my lovely new niece!!
*sighs* And what a beautiful baby she is!! *smiles*
Tonight, when we came to visit the little bub, all she did was sleep, undisturbed by the commotion coming from next door. Occasionally she'd scrunch up her face or open her mouth, but that was it. Then back to the land of nod it was.
It was good to see my sister doing well, because from what mum said Quynh was doing it really tough during the labour - needing two epidural injections (?).
Seeing her going through all the pain, really freaked out my brother-in-law. Thanh, who originally wanted 3 or 4 kids, is now too scared to see Quynh go through that pain again. Now, he's more than happy to have as many kids as she is willing to have!
LOL. I found that soo cute, because I could totally see him, completely freaking out during the birth. Running around like a mad-man!
Oh well, I guess she couldn't wait for Australia Day eh?
Blah! I love this little kid, and it's only 5 hours old!!!
But OMG, that (pretty much) 12 hours wait, was one of the most stressful things I have gone through. [it's up there with my piano exams, and for those who know me, that's like WOW]. Even though I was at home, I just had to find things to occupy myself. I mean, watching the tennis wasn't even enough. I even found by myself, brushing up on my (sign language) fingerspelling!!
Oh well... She's here now, and both her and her mum are happy and healthy! All is good! *grins*
Here are some photos I took, tonight. YAY!!
