Update on the Move

I'm mostly moved in to my new apartment. I say mostly because I haven't really finished unpacking as I'm unsure of what I want to go where in my room... my HUGE room. As Paige (and Joe... and Jamie) said, its really just more space to get messy. But I like it.

I like the whole apartment. We have shitty AC, and the orange tile and purple shag carpet are hideous, but it feels like an "adult" apartment. Somehow with the big townhouse, it felt more like playing house than my apartment. This feels like mine. I feel old...

Last Weekend

This past weekend was AMAZING. Exhausted from moving, Friday night my mom and I came home, showered and prettied up to head to dinner and a show for Carolyn's 17th birthday. (Don't even get me started on the fact that my little sister is 17...) We went to Pasta Pompodoro, where we had decent food and shitty service. Then we went to The 12th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee at the Post Street Theatre. Reflections/Remarks from the show:

a) I found out that when my dad SMed (and yes, my dad SMed...) he managed a dance company that worked in the Post Street Theatre. It was cool to hear about.
b) The show rocked... why?
-- 1) Though not a spectacle show by any means, the set (in terms of perspective especially) and costumes did a fabulous job creating the world and really allowing an easy suspension of disbelief that these adult actors were children. Also noticed that one of the desingers working on the orginal off-broadway Last Five, which I appriciated
-- 2) The cast was WAY talented. All had good voices, ability to play multiple roles within the show completely believebly in snap second changes, and snazzy dancers
-- 3) Compelling lyrics, well done characters, funny asides... although I wouldn't say it was similar to Falsettos in any overt way, William Finn's tendencies were pretty aparant in the show
b) I really like my family. I got the chance to spend a lot of time with them this summer, and they are all great people. Carolyn is becoming a really awesome person who I am grateful to be getting to know.

It was a good night. And then Saturday was Kayt's 21st birthday, and WOW was there revelry. Had an amazing time between dinner, the bars, and dancing.

Life Now
Now that I'm moved into the new apartment I'm having to actually start dealing with stuff for the coming year. Which means, "Share," Peer Advising, and the thesis stuff.... fun fun fun....

More on that later I'm sure..... Better go back to work, ciao
