My grandmother agrees with and is helping a campaigner who thinks gay and lesbian couples should not be allowed to raise children. Apparently there's 'a growing body of psychological evidence' that gay and lesbian couples damage children.
I have found the following article by the American Psychological Association which takes the opposing view: http://www.apa.org/pi/lgbc/policy/parents.html Quote: "there is no reliable evidence that homosexual orientation per se impairs psychological functioning. Second, beliefs that lesbian and gay adults are not fit parents have no empirical foundation."
But I'm looking for more so that I can, with evidence, tell my blinkered, fundamentalist, narrow-minded, unthinking and arrogant grandmother where to stick it. Halp pls?
