Title: A Learning Process
Beta: minniesaranghae
Pairing: Yunho/Jaejoong
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Romance, Humor
Summary: Jung Yunho was supposed to be the mysterious, indifferent, student council president. While he’d never stolen any minute of Kim Jaejoong’s attention before, he certainly was now.

“Your phone’s ringing,” Jaejoong panted in between kisses as Yunho began to pull his pants down, “I just thought you should know.”

Yunho stilled and played with the bottle of lube in his hands, “So…you don’t want me to answer it?”

Jaejoong glared, “Does it look like I fucking want you to stop?”

“Not really,” Yunho said teasingly as he kicked Jaejoong’s pants off the bed. His hand trailed up Jaejoong’s naked legs, and he stopped as soon as he reached Jaejoong’s waist, “But it might be someone important…”

Jaejoong huffed, “It won’t be anyone important,” he hooked his legs around Yunho’s waist and rubbed against him, “I get a prize, don’t I? Didn’t you like that blowjob I gave you earlier?”

Yunho chuckled and kissed Jaejoong to lick at Jaejoong’s lips, “Of course.”

Jaejoong smiled proudly and hooked his arms around Yunho’s neck before smiling mischievously, “So even if it’s the fucking president that’s calling you he has to wait because I want you in me now.”
o-o-o
“Shit, Jaejoong, I ignored my mom’s call,” Yunho mumbled after he’d rolled away from Jaejoong to see who had been called him. He sat up, and Jaejoong rolled over to his side so that he could look at Yunho.

Jaejoong reached out to run his hand along Yunho’s waist lovingly, “I’m sure it’s nothing big,” he said as he squeezed Yunho’s pillow a little tighter, “But still, I’m sorry. I know you haven’t -“

Yunho glanced at Jaejoong and laughed, “It’s nothing big, I’m sure, so don’t -“

The shrill ringing of his phone interrupted him, and Yunho smiled apologetically before he answered his phone, “What’s up?”

Jaejoong watched as Yunho’s lips contorted into a frown, “Wait…what? I thought…I thought they were coming back on Sunday? Yeah…Jaejoong’s over right now - hey! Don’t ask me those kinds of questions!”

“What is it?” Jaejoong asked curiously, poking Yunho’s side, “What is it?”

“Shit, shit, shit,” Yunho hissed, “Yeah, okay, I’ll get things ready, and you need to get back home immediately. Bye.”

Jaejoong sat up and poked Yunho a bit rougher this time, “What is it?”

Yunho bit his lip, “My parents are on their way from Japan right now, and…they want you to have dinner with us.”

Jaejoong’s mouth fell open, “What?”

“Yeah, and now you have to get off the bed because I need to change the sheets, and you need to take a shower,” Yunho instructed as he climbed out of bed and put his boxers back on, “Come on, you need to look decent -“

“But what if they don’t like me?”

Yunho rolled his eyes in amusement and crossed his arms, “Do you think my parents are going to like it if they found out we had sex when they weren’t around?”

“…no?”

“That’s what I think too, so please get off the bed, and take a shower so that you can pretend to look more PG-13 than you currently do.”

Jaejoong laughed and sat up. He swung his legs over the edge of his bed and ran his hands down his chest. He leaned back, crossed his legs, and bit his lip, “But you like it when I look like this -“

“Just because I like seeing you naked, doesn’t mean my parents do. Now please go to the bathroom and shower because the longer I see you naked, the more I’m going to want to join you in the shower. So please, if you love me, get out.”

Jaejoong pouted before he stood up and pressed a quick kiss to Yunho’s lips. He picked his clothes up off the floor and made his way to the door, “Don’t worry, I won’t lock the door…just in case you change your mind.”

He winked at Yunho and turned to leave, but before he could close the door, he heard Yunho groan in frustration from inside his room.
o-o-o
As soon as he came out of the shower, Jaejoong nearly knocked into Jihye. She frowned at him disapprovingly and took the cherry lollipop she’d been sucking on out of her mouth so that she could speak to him.

“So…you two weren’t really studying, were you?”

Jaejoong blushed and bit his lip, “You’re a smart girl, so -“

“You two better not have come into my room,” Jihye hissed as she pointed her lollipop at Jaejoong accusingly, “Or else I’ll tell my parents that my brother’s a sex addict and that he should be shipped off to Tibet for a spiritual cleansing.”

Jaejoong raised an eyebrow, “What?”

“Anyway, you need to come inside my room,” Jihye said with a shrug, completely calm and more relaxed, “We need to apply some concealer on those hickeys of yours while Yunho does his…” she rolled her eyes, “Laundry.”

Jaejoong silently followed Jihye into her room, and it was similarly structured like Yunho’s. It seemed like both siblings were rather organized, and aside from a few clothes strewn here and there, a few magazines scattered on her desk, and a few other feminine objects, it could almost pass off as Yunho’s room.

“Sit on my bed while I get my concealer.”

He sat down obediently, and as soon as Jihye had fished it out, she sat down beside him and tilted his head at a particular angle.

“You won’t really have to worry about impressing my mom,” she said as she began to dab on concealer, “She loves pretty much everyone, and she’s really friendly…not like Yunho.”

Jaejoong laughed, but when he tried to glance at Jihye, she pushed his head back in the original direction he’d been facing, “So…she’s nice?”

“Yes, she’s nice. She’s also in the PTA, so she might know that you’re a bit of a slacker, but don’t worry about that - she knows that Yunho’s liked you for a while.”

Jaejoong blushed, “How does she know that?”

“Changmin told her when Yunho accidentally ate his slice of pizza,” Jihye replied as she began to spread the concealer, “You should’ve seen Yunho when she found out. He looked like a tomato, and our mom forced him to show her a picture of you from his copy of the school yearbook.”

Jaejoong relaxed a bit, and when Jihye reached over to pick up the concealer, he turned his head to look at her, “What about your dad then?”

Jihye paused and looked at him, “Well…Yunho’s like him. They both take time to warm up to people so…if our dad doesn’t talk to you, don’t take it too personally. He’s really protective of Yunho because of how…”

Jaejoong frowned, “Because of what?”

“Yunho’s going to get mad if I tell you,” Jihye mumbled, “He should be the one -“

“But you brought it up! Now I’m curious!”

Jihye sighed and poked Jaejoong, “I really hate you. I liked it back when my brother used to buy me stuff after school, and now you’re around and he doesn’t hang out with me anymore.”

Jaejoong blinked, “Are you trying to change the subject?”

She frowned and narrowed her eyes, “No, I’m being serious.”

“I have a feeling you’re trying to change the subject.”

“No I’m not, now look back in -“

“Okay, now I’m definitely sure that you’re -“

“Shut up, you’re just my brother’s stupid boyfriend, so -“

“You’re just my boyfriend’s stupid sister -“

“Hey! Yunho and I are related! If you’re calling me stupid -“

“Only you received the stupidity gene -“

“Get out of -“

The door opened, and Yunho narrowed his eyes at both of them, “I could hear you two shouting from downstairs. What’s going on, and why are you calling each other stupid?”

Jihye and Jaejoong glanced at each other, and both tried to reply to Yunho.

“Your boyfriend’s an airhead -“

“Your sister is a terrible liar -“

Yunho held up his hands and shook his head. He sighed and sent them both irritated looks, “Both of you talk too much, and too loudly. Jihye set the table because mom and dad ordered food on their way back, and Jaejoong…change your shirt. It’s really rumpled, so just get one from my closet.”

Jihye and Jaejoong replied in chorus, “Okay Yunho.”

Yunho sighed and ran a hand through his hair, “It’s like dealing with children -“

Before he could finish his sentence, both Jihye and Jaejoong pelted pillows at him and ran out of the room laughing at the stunned expression on his face. Yunho picked up the pillows and ran after them.

He threw one pillow at Jihye, and just as Jaejoong was about to escape into his room, he grabbed his boyfriend and pinned him against the corridor wall.

“My parents are going to hate you,” he whispered breathlessly.

Jaejoong laughed and hooked his arms around Yunho’s neck, “As long as you like me, then that’s what should matter, right?”

Yunho laughed and pressed his forehead against Jaejoong’s, “At least Taepoong likes you. He’s part of the family.”

“Taepoong’s a dog, and he likes to jump on me…” Jaejoong’s lips curved into a playful smile, and he tugged at Yunho’s hair, “Come to think of it, you and Taepoong seem kind of alike now -“

Yunho shook his head and smiled happily, “Everything will be okay, so, don’t worry. They’ll love you because I love you,” he cupped Jaejoong’s face and ran his thumb along the latter’s cheek, “Trust me.”

Jaejoong smiled, “Of course I do,” he replied before he leaned forward to kiss Yunho, confident that he could charm Mr. and Mrs. Jung into liking him just as easily as he’d charmed Yunho into falling in love with him.
o-o-o
Jihye hung up her phone and glanced at Yunho and Jaejoong, “They’re on the street. Do you want to wait outside for them…?”

Yunho shook his head and changed the channel, “If Jaejoong waits outside for them, he’ll look too much like a suck up. Besides, we usually wait inside, so I don’t think they’ll mind if we stay inside and wait for them to ring the doorbell.”

Jaejoong played with Taepoong anxiously and rubbed the dog’s belly, “Should I walk up with you guys, or should I hang behind...?”

“You don’t have to over think this Jaejoong,” Yunho said calmly, “You’ll be fine.”

“Jihye told me I should be worried about impressing your dad.”

Yunho glanced at Jihye before he turned his eyes to Jaejoong, “She’s right. Don’t expect him to like you immediately. He’s a hard man to impress.”

Jaejoong’s mouth fell open, and he pointed at Yunho accusingly, “You said your parents would love me!”

“I didn’t mean that immediately,” Yunho said with a shrug, “It takes a while for my dad to warm up to people, and you’re not exactly a model student…”

“Yeah, our mom knows that Yunho had to spend time with you after school because of academic stuff,” Jihye added coolly as she leaned against her brother’s shoulder casually, “So…”

The doorbell rang, and Jihye jumped off the sofa. Yunho followed her to the door, and Jaejoong nervously stood up to follow them. Jihye opened the door, and Jaejoong watched as Mrs. Jung embraced both her children tightly before letting go so that they could greet their father.

Jihye kissed her dad’s cheek, and Mr. Jung squeezed Yunho’s shoulder warmly before he pulled in their luggage. Jaejoong stood awkwardly, wondering when someone would introduce him, until Mrs. Jung finally laid her eyes on him.

“Yunho honey, is this your boyfriend?” she asked, a huge smile crossing her face as she set her bag onto the floor and approached Jaejoong.

“Mom, dad, this is Jaejoong -“

“He’s even more handsome than I thought he would be!” Mrs. Jung squealed before she hugged Jaejoong warmly, “Aren’t you the prettiest? No wonder Yunho had a crush on you!”

Jaejoong blushed hard, and he noticed that Yunho was even redder. Mrs. Jung let go of him, and she smiled widely before she clasped her hands together, “We brought home dinner, so let’s eat now, shall we? I want to get to know you!”
o-o-o
Jaejoong poked at his salad nervously and stared at the lettuce.

Okay, so maybe leaving a good impression would be harder than he thought it would be.

Mrs. Jung dominated most of the conversation at the table, while Mr. Jung hardly acknowledged his presence. Mrs. Jung asked him countless questions, and Jaejoong honestly didn’t know if any of his answers were considered impressive to her.

He hardly had any academic or personal achievements to boast about, so the longer she asked him questions about what he was interested in and what he did in school, the more he felt that his answers made Mr. Jung judge him negatively and think that the mushroom soup would probably be a better boyfriend for his son than he was.

“Mom, I think you should stop interrogating Jaejoong,” Yunho suggested as he sliced his roast beef, “You’ve been grilling him for the past thirty -“

“I just want to know more about him,” Mrs. Jung replied sweetly as she smiled at her son, “After all, you’ve been dating him for several months now and you’ve never brought him home to meet us. Why is that?”

Jaejoong glanced at Yunho, and Yunho rolled his eyes at his mother.

“I didn’t want to subject him to this torture.”

Jihye scoffed, “I think we all know you like showing him off Yunho,” she pointed her fork at her brother and looked at her mom, “There are some prom photos of them in Yunho’s room. He had one framed, and the others are in his closet.”

“Framed?” Mrs. Jung laughed and looked at her son, “How cute of you! I swear Jaejoong, I didn’t think my son had a single romantic bone in his body. I think you bring it out in him -“

“Mom, stop it -“

“Shush Yunho, stop whining and go back to eating,” His mom snapped as she turned her eyes back to Jaejoong and smiled warmly at him, “Anyway Jaejoong, I must say, I love you. You’re adorable.”

Jaejoong blushed, “Thank you.”

“I think you’re perfect for my son. You’ve made him less uptight,” Mrs. Jung said with a smile despite Yunho’s loud shout of protest, “He always needed someone more carefree than he was. He’s always been such a serious child -“

“Mom!”

Mrs. Jung ignored her son and continued, “If ever my son treats you unkindly, don’t be afraid to knock his ego down a few notches -“

“Mom!”

Jihye was laughing, and Mr. Jung was shaking his head, but Jaejoong couldn’t help the bright smile that crossed his face. He laughed, and he squeezed Yunho’s hand tightly underneath the table.

“I’ll make sure to keep that in mind.”

“I’m very happy to have met you today,” Mrs. Jung said as she reached her hand out to squeeze Jaejoong’s lightly before she pulled away, “I hope to see you around a lot more often and for a long time as well.”

She shot her son a pointed look, “Okay, I’m done now. Are you happy?”

“You’re so embarrassing,” Yunho grumbled as he stabbed his beef viciously, “And you wondered why I didn’t want to bring Jaejoong home to meet you.”

“It’s a mother’s duty to embarrass her children,” Mrs. Jung replied breezily as she served Jaejoong more food, “When Jihye brings home a boyfriend too, I’ll be sure to embarrass her in front of him as much as I’ve embarrassed you tonight. Now go be a good boy Yunho and get the dessert.”

Yunho rolled his eyes and leaned down to whisper into Jaejoong’s ear before he left the table, “Why do I have this feeling that you and my mother have perfected the art of bossing me around?”

Jaejoong laughed and smiled at Yunho, “I guess it’s true then…”

Yunho frowned, “What is?”

“That men are attracted to people like their mothers,” Jaejoong said with a grin before he poked his boyfriend in the cheek, “Now go get the dessert. I saw the cake earlier, and I want some.”
o-o-o
Jaejoong was left with Mr. Jung as soon as Jihye, Yunho, and Mrs. Jung had gone to clean up after dinner. He shifted uncomfortably in his seat as he watched the football match with Mr. Jung and wondered if the other man would say anything to him anytime soon to relieve them both from the awkward and tense silence.

“Where do you plan on studying?” Mr. Jung asked, his eyes still fixated on the television screen.

Jaejoong glanced at Mr. Jung, “Well, I’m still deciding, but I’m planning on taking up architecture.” He wrung his hands nervously, “I still have some time to choose, and so I’ll be weighing my options and making my decision carefully.”

“I see.”

Silence fell between them again, and Jaejoong decided that it was about time for him to make more of an effort to get Mr. Jung to like him.

“Are you happy that Yunho is interested in becoming a lawyer like you?” Jaejoong asked politely, “He looks up to you. He’s told me a lot about your accomplishments, and he’s very determined to be as successful as you are.”

“It’s a hard path,” Mr. Jung replied as he changed the channel, “I’m worried that he might change his mind -“

“I don’t think Yunho’s that kind of person,” Jaejoong interrupted, “I didn’t meant to interrupt you, but I think that Yunho won’t disappoint and suddenly change his mind about what he wants. He seems like he’s very firm with his decision to become a lawyer, and he has all of my support.”

“I’ll support whatever decision he makes, so don’t worry about that,” Mr. Jung said in reply as he glanced over his shoulder to see if Yunho had come in to pick up Jaejoong and drive him home.

Jaejoong bit his lip and looked around, unsure of where to take the conversation next. He sunk lower into his seat and stared into the television, hoping that Yunho would come and take him away from the awkward situation soon.
o-o-o
“I don’t think your dad likes me.”

“He’s just protective,” Yunho said casually as he parked his car in front of Jaejoong’s house and glanced at him, “Jihye told me that she mentioned something about it?”

Jaejoong unbuckled his seat, “She kind of mentioned it, but she wanted you to tell me instead.” He looked at Yunho, “If you’re not comfortable talking about whatever it is, you don’t have to -“

“No, it’s okay,” Yunho said with a reassuring smile. “When I came out to my family, my dad wasn’t immediately okay with it. He was raised in a very traditional family, so it was a shock to him, but after a few days, he came to deal with it, and he accepted me. It took a bit of time until he was very comfortable with it, but unfortunately, my grandparents never tried to learn how to accept me, and they cut off contact with my father because of me.”

Jaejoong frowned, “They did that? My grandparents on both sides never…I mean, I know they don’t like me that much, but they still…I’m sorry Yunho.”

Yunho shook his head and smiled, “It’s okay, but anyway, that’s why my father’s protective of me. He just doesn’t want me to get hurt, and he’s just generally not the friendliest person, but I’m sure he’ll warm up to you eventually.”

“I hope so…”

Yunho leaned over to kiss Jaejoong, and Jaejoong pulled Yunho closer. They kissed for a few minutes before Jaejoong moved away and leaned back into his seat.

“I hate you for being such a perfect boyfriend and person. I tend to feel inferior around you,” Jaejoong muttered, “I love you. Good night.”

Yunho laughed, “Good night, and I love you too.”

“You’re supposed to say something about how I’m perfect,” Jaejoong teased.

“You already know I think you are,” Yunho said before he burst out into laughter at his extremely clichéd comeback.

Jaejoong pretended to vomit and opened the car door. He got out but turned around to look at Yunho, “Jung Yunho.”

“Yes?”

“Your family loves me - even your dad, and I’m sure he was just hiding his feelings of approval for me. You should be glad that you have a boyfriend like me.”

Yunho shook his head in amusement, “Where did your humility go?”

“I’m just speaking the truth,” Jaejoong replied, “By the way, can I keep your shirt?” he asked as he pulled at the fabric of Yunho’s shirt that was a bit too long for his body.

“Yeah, sure.”

Jaejoong smiled, “I really hate you.”

“I hate you too.”

“You suck in bed.”

“No, I’m pretty sure you were the one doing the sucking -“

Jaejoong slammed the door shut and stalked off, his cheeks red. He opened the door to his house and quickly made his way to his room before anyone could tease him about how long he’d stayed at Yunho’s home and locked the door to his room.

As soon as he’d flopped onto the bed, his phone buzzed. Jaejoong glanced down at his phone and opened the text.

Good night boojae, sweet dreams! :D

Jaejoong scowled at the ridiculously fake and cutesy text before he texted Yunho back.

è____é I won’t be dreaming of you, that’s for sure.

I’ll be having sweet dreams of my Math seatmate, Seunghyun. <3

He put his phone aside and ignored it when he heard it ring. Jaejoong grinned evilly to himself and settled down onto his mattress, hugely satisfied with himself.

Mrs. Jung was right - Yunho’s ego needed to be knocked down a few notches every now and then.
