Summary: Jung Yunho was supposed to be the mysterious, indifferent, student council president. While he’d never stolen any minute of Kim Jaejoong’s attention before, he certainly was now.

““Longer than you think.” Yunho replied quickly before he wrapped his arm around Jaejoong’s waist and slowly pushed the other student forward so that he could close the door behind him.

Jaejoong inched closer to Yunho and stared at Changmin warily, wondering what the vice president would do next. He swallowed hard and bit his lip, waiting for either of the two student representatives to do something.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Changmin asked as he crossed his arms and focused his attention on Yunho. “I’m your best friend, aren’t I?”

“Do we have to talk about this here?” Yunho asked with an irritated sigh. He pulled Jaejoong closer and glanced around, “Can’t we go somewhere else? I really don’t feel like discussing my personal life with you on my doorstep.”

“Does anyone else know?” Changmin inquired, ignoring Yunho’s suggestion completely. He looked between the two of them and narrowed his eyes, “I want to know.”

Yunho rolled his eyes. “Yoochun, Jihye and Jaejoong’s sisters know.” He let go of Jaejoong’s waist and pushed Changmin’s chest lightly, “You’re still my best friend, don’t get jealous.”

“I’m not jealous.” Changmin mumbled before he sent an accusing glare at Jaejoong, who was trying to slink away behind Yunho. “You’re treating me to lunch.”

“What -“

“Think of it as trying to win over the in-laws.” Changmin snapped before he walked off, only turning back when he reached the Jungs’ gate. “Come on. I thought you didn’t want to discuss your personal life here Yunho.”

He turned away, and Jaejoong buried his face into Yunho’s chest. “Your best friend is a demon in monkey form.” Jaejoong looped his fingers into Yunho’s pants and pulled him closer, “I don’t like him.”

Yunho chuckled and gently pushed Jaejoong away. He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to the other student’s lips and pulled away with a smile. “Don’t worry, he’ll like you eventually -“

“Stop touching the she-man in public Yunho! There are children on the street!” Changmin shouted from where he was on the sidewalk, catching the couple’s attention immediately.

Jaejoong sighed and buried his face into Yunho’s chest once more.
o-o-o
Jaejoong watched in disgust as Changmin shoveled fries in his mouth. He glanced at Yunho, who was neatly mixing his ketchup into his mayonnaise, and then back at Changmin, who didn’t seem to be taking a break from chewing to breathe.

“What the hell are we doing?” Jaejoong asked loudly, breaking the silence that had fallen over the table.

Yunho glanced at Jaejoong, “Eating.”

Jaejoong frowned, “I think I know that, but thank you anyway Captain Obvious.” He snapped before he glanced at Changmin. “Now what else do you want? Say your little piece so that I can go home.”

Changmin set down his burger and stared at Jaejoong, “Just so you know, Yunho’s had a crush on you since third year.”

“What the fuck -“

Jaejoong glanced at Yunho, who looked absolutely livid. Without another second of hesitation, the student council president threw a packet of ketchup which hit Changmin directly between the eyes.

“You’ve liked me since third year?” Jaejoong asked, a blush creeping across his cheeks as he waited for Yunho to reply.

“No, it’s not true!” Yunho snapped, although the blush on his face contradicted his words. He narrowed his eyes at his best friend and hurled another ketchup packet at him. “Changmin you asshole.”

Changmin caught the packet and cleared his throat, making Jaejoong’s eyes turn back to him. “Anyway, despite that, I still don’t think you’re a good choice for him. You’re known to be a flirt, and frankly, I think you’re only further speeding up global warming because of all the hairspray you use -“

“I don’t use hairspray -“

“Well if it’s not hairspray I smell from you, then I can only assume that it’s the cheap cologne you use -“

“You prick -“

Yunho elbowed Jaejoong and threw another ketchup packet at Changmin. He rolled his eyes at them, “You guys need to shut up, my head hurts.” He massaged his temple and glanced between the two, “Fine, yes, Jaejoong I’ve liked you since third year. Next, Changmin, you need to get used to Jaejoong because he’s my boyfriend now, and I know what I’m doing, so I’ll be fine.”

The two were silent, and Yunho let out another sigh of irritation. “You two really need to learn how to get along and become friends.” He rifled through his pocket and set a wrapped box onto the table.

Jaejoong stared at the box and then raised his eyes up to look at Yunho, “What’s that?”

“My sister told me that I should get you something because it was our monthly anniversary a few days ago.” Yunho explained as he pushed the box toward Jaejoong with his finger, “I’m sorry it’s late.”

“I…” Jaejoong’s eyes widened and he was about to lean forward and kiss Yunho until he heard Changmin clear his throat.

“Don’t have anything for you Yunho?” Changmin supplied, giving his answer in a mocking tone. He smiled innocently and turned back to his fries.

“Don’t be a bitch.” Yunho warned before he glanced back at Jaejoong, “Really, it’s fine Jaejoong. You really didn’t have to get me anything. I only got you something because Jihye demanded me to.”

“But -“

“I suggest you two tone down on the lover issues and put that gift away.” Changmin muttered as he dipped his fry into Yunho’s ketchup and mayonnaise mixture. “Ara’s on her way here.”

“She’s such a stalker.” Jaejoong muttered as he took the gift off the table and placed it between him and Yunho.

“I agree.” Changmin murmured, “She always turns up everywhere Yunho is.”

Yunho rolled his eyes, “She’s a nice person, and really, this city isn’t that big anyway. It’s just coincidence, and I can’t believe you guys only start agreeing with one another when it comes to another person’s expense.”

“Well don’t you find it creepy how -“

Ara approached their table and smiled, “Oh, hi.” She bit her lip and looked at the three of them nervously, “I didn’t think you would be here Yunho!”

“Yeah right.” Jaejoong muttered under his breath, which resulted in Yunho elbowing him and Changmin trying to stifle his laughter.

Jaejoong kept quiet as Ara talked to Yunho, never bothering to address him or Changmin aside from the initial greeting she’d given them. He played with his burger, tapping the top bun to the beat of a song that was stuck in his head.

“Yunho, do you think you could help me with my sister?” Ara asked with a frown on her face as she glanced back at a little girl who was pouting sourly at a table a short distance away from them, “I need to cheer her up.”

Jaejoong noted the blank look on Yunho’s face and nearly burst out laughing.

“What am I supposed to do?” Yunho asked finally, his hesitancy showing. “I’m not that great with children -“

“My sister adores you.” Changmin cut in, a wicked smirk on his face as he continued, “I think Yunho would love to help you out Ara. He’s really good with children. He’s just being too humble at the moment.”

Ara turned her attention from Changmin to Yunho, “Please? She’s upset because I didn’t want to buy her a doll.”

Jaejoong bit his lip and glared at Yunho.

You are not supposed to go with her and leave me with Changmin!

“I…”

“Please?”

Yunho sighed and squeezed Jaejoong’s hand under the table. “Fine, I’ll see what I can do to cheer her up.” Jaejoong frowned, and Yunho ignored it. “Could you move Jaejoong?”

Jaejoong reluctantly slid out of the booth to let Yunho out, and when he sat back down, he pouted. He poked at his burger irritably, “Stupid excuse.”

“I know.” Changmin replied as he took the fries off Yunho’s plate and dumped them onto his, “She’s pretty desperate though.” He noted as he dipped his fries, “She never used to be so forward before.”

“It’s probably because of the hickeys.” Jaejoong muttered as he slunk into his seat.

“Probably.” Changmin said as he took a sip of his Coke, “I don’t think she expected any competition,” He studied Jaejoong, “Least of all, from you.”

“She should just find someone else.” Jaejoong muttered, “Yunho’s mine.”

“I’ll choose to ignore that ridiculously sappy thing you said, and agree that she should find someone else.” Changmin replied as he finished the last of Yunho’s fries, “I mean, they look good together and all, but that’s it.”

“So are you fine with me and Yunho being together then?”

Changmin shot Jaejoong a displeased look, “Of course not. As a best friend, I believe that Yunho deserves the best.” He shrugged, “There’s nothing I can do about it if he likes you though. Yunho’s stubborn.”

“I know he is.” Jaejoong replied in agreement.

“Besides, you might be worth having around.” Changmin said, which prompted Jaejoong to look up at the other student in surprise. “Those cupcakes you made that time were…decent.”

“I should make you more then.”

“You should.” Changmin agreed casually as he took Yunho’s burger off its plate and put it on his own.

Jaejoong’s smiled at the other student in a friendly manner before he resumed eating his own burger. He glanced at where Yunho was, and the student president looked obviously displeased as Ara’s sister latched onto his leg.

Jaejoong laughed and turned back to Changmin, only to discover that Changmin had begun eating from his fries.

“I didn’t say you could have any.” He hissed, pulling his plate out of the other student’s hands.

Changmin blinked innocently and popped another one into his mouth. “I didn’t think I’d have to ask. We’re supposed to be acting like friends now, right?”

“Friends don’t steal.” Jaejoong muttered.

“It’s not stealing, it’s sharing, and friends share.” Changmin retorted with a smirk before he reached his long arm forward and took more of Jaejoong’s fries. “Also, I have one more thing to say to you Jaejoong.”

“What?”

“If you break Yunho’s heart I will fucking kill you.”

A shiver ran up Jaejoong’s spine.
o-o-o
“That wasn’t so bad, was it?” Yunho asked as he walked Jaejoong back to his house. He glanced at the other man and smiled, “You two were beginning to get along by the end of the whole thing.”

Jaejoong shrugged, “Before hell freezes over, we might become friends.” He shivered slightly and leaned against Yunho, “I’ll play nice.” Jaejoong pulled at Yunho’s jacket sleeve and smiled, “Can I have your jacket?”

“Aren’t I supposed to play the nice boyfriend and offer it first?” Yunho asked, “I don’t think I should give it to you. It’s pretty cold. I don’t want to get sick. If you were Ara, then maybe I’d consider -“

“Asshole.”

Yunho laughed and removed his jacket before he handed it to Jaejoong. Jaejoong quickly put it on and blushed slightly, “Thanks.”

“Sure.”

Jaejoong blew at his hands and looked up at Yunho, “You really didn’t have to walk me home you know.” He sighed and bit his lip, “I feel really bad about not getting you anything for our anniversary.”

“Don’t worry about it.” Yunho replied as he slung his arm over Jaejoong, “Like I told you before, Jihye just told me to get you one. I wouldn’t have gotten you one if she hadn’t dragged me to the mall.”

Jaejoong pulled the gift out of his pocket and stared at it for a few seconds. He looked up at Yunho, “What is it?” he asked, his heart fluttering in his chest.

Jaejoong waited for Yunho to speakand he didn’t quite think that he’d ever felt so glad to have Yunho as his boyfriend before. He’d learned so much about the other student in the past few months, and everything about Yunho just made his heart beat faster. From his cute mole to his stubborn personality, everything only drew him in further.

It wasn’t hard to begin falling love with him.

“It’s a watch.” Yunho replied as he stuck his hands into his pockets, “I hope you’ll like it.”

“I’m sure I will.”

They walked up to Jaejoong’s and turned to face each other. Jaejoong removed Yunho’s jacket and handed it back to him, “I was thinking, I should probably get you a really good Christmas gift.”

Yunho laughed, “Okay then.” He looked around before he leant down to kiss Jaejoong on the lips, gently leading him back against the gate. He set his hands on the shorter man’s waist, “What are you going to get me?”

“I don’t know.” Jaejoong muttered as he hooked his fingers into the loops of Yunho’s jeans. “What do you want? I could get you a scarf or something.” He leaned forward and pressed a kiss against Yunho’s jaw. “Seriously though, what do you want?”

Yunho thought for a while before he spoke, his voice low and serious.

“You.”

Jaejoong could feel his little virgin heart explode in his chest.

Oh my God.
