It’s six sleeps to Christmas! And therefore, it is time to spread some holiday cheer, because I had a pretty great week and full excitement has just hit me this weekend. I have my pyjamas on, Christmas songs playing on YouTube, and it’s been snowing! I love Christmas time!
(
Firstly, the non-NCIS-related stuff, because I’ll get all rambly on that later! )
I love Tony. I love him! I think his father loves him, too, in his own wacky way. He might not like Tony very much, but he loves him. Probably. Maybe. Didn't he buy Tony a power sander? Why would you buy a power sander for someone you don't love? You wouldn't. You'd buy a power sander for someone you don't like, but you'd never buy one for someone you don't love. They're expensive. He was probably trying to buy Tony's love back, but he can't, because Tony is all about TRUTH and JUSTICE (and Gibbs!). And also about people who know him well enough not to buy him a power sander... which is Gibbs, pretty much?
I almost wish they would stop releasing spoilers because these little tidbits that tell us nothing but about which we can't stop speculating are almost worse than nothing. I like the black suit again, though (I am so fickle, I know). I really hope he's wearing a holster under there. Also, look at how spiffy DiNozzo, Sr.'s clothes are! Tony is definitely his father's son. It's almost like he's reached a place in life where he can finally reconcile with his father (if that's what is going on), because I really can't imagine the somewhat-schlumpy S1 Tony making nice with a father who dresses like that. It's like he's stopped trying to fight his nature and realized that it's what's on the inside that makes him different, not the clothes. Or maybe, in the midst of his S6-S7 freakout, the suits are his way of finding comfort in familiar things. Either way, it's very attractive.

That's true, that's so true, the power sander thing is kind of an awesomely inappropriate and wrong, but still quite cute, present. Unless fanon is true and it was totally his secretary who sent him that because Daddy DiNozzo has no clue what his son likes or dislikes and just doesn't care! *flounce* But I would really like to see DD trying to win Tony back, and Tony being the one who's all, "Talk to the elbow," because somewhere along the line he realised he shockingly, loved loyalty and truth and yes, justice! far more than he loved money!
DD's suit is lovely, Tony definitely got his love of extortionate tailors from him. If they are going to be reconciling (and yes, OMG, the spoilers are kind of killing me, I can't remain calm and logical, without wild speculation and terror, for so long) then I am really glad Tony's looking so smart while he does it. It would really look out of place if he was in, say, a turtleneck, or worse, his OSU jacket. The black suit really does look very nice there, though - he suits the lighting in interrogation - I'm pretty sure that's where they are? - so very well. It makes him looks very suave and dangerous special agent. Whatever it is that's making him wear more suits nowadays - just liking them, or totally freaking out and dressing smartly to compensate - I hope it continues. Despite my whining that he doesn't wear tee shirts and jeans enough. I suppose he is at work - and he's got to be one of the most senior field agents they have, I guess. Difficult to tell if the holster is present, I tried craning my neck at the picture but then remembered that it was 2D. My bad.
